What began with objects grew into an interest in telling stories through the design of people’s interactions with spaces.
Queenie Szu-Yu Huang is a Taiwanese experiential designer based in New York, working across spatial design, exhibitions, branded environments, and interactive experiences.
Her work consistently goes back to the Sisyphean chair, to exploring how interactions in a physical space can communicate a story. Whether it is translating an app into an immersive branded environment, shaping how visitors think and move through an exhibition, or using interaction to make philosophical ideas tangible. With a background spanning product design, exhibition design, and interactive technology, she approaches experiences through both spatial and human perspectives.
Professionally, Queenie works across the full lifecycle of physical experiences, from early concept and spatial development through design documentation, fabrication, and installation. Her experience in production management gives her a practical understanding of how creative ideas are translated into built environments, working across clients, stakeholders, fabricators, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to bring projects to life.
Her broader interests lie in museums, art, installations, and the ways physical environments can prompt ideas, encounters, and create meaningful connections between people and stories.
