02. The Social Life of Small Chairs in Social Spaces
Interactive Experience, Arduino
2022—12
As someone who is always interested in investing people’s interaction with space and how different objects can reflect that interaction, I created a tiny park based on William H. Whyte’s study of New York City public space in the 1980s. This lead to the slightly absurd project of a model of a publci space where the chair is constantly running into the shades of the tree, the direction of which is controlled by users by changing the direction of the spotlight/sunlight.
